“FIFTH COLUMN” IN THE USA HAS COME OUT OF THE CLOSET

Many people don’t know the origin of the term “fifth column.” They kind of know it has something to do with secrets, sedition, and possibly overturning a government, but are really not sure as to where the term came from, or what it means.
During the Spanish Civil War, fought between 1936 and 1939, a Nationalist General, Emilio Mola told a journalist early in the war that as four columns of his troops approached Madrid, a “fifth column” of supporters inside the city would support him and undermine the Republican government from within. The journalist reported the general’s comment; the term was widely used in Spain, and ultimately the world. Like many modern terms of any day, the “fifth column” has pretty much gone out of use, until now. How appropriate has this term become in our time! Think about it – our government has been infiltrated by people who determine national policy and defense, who use fifth column tactics, including misinformation campaigns to undermine the foundation of American life. What’s worse is that the fifth column of today has many of the press standing with them, and even cheering them on as they take the city. The misinformation campaign is easy for this fifth column; the press doesn’t ask the questions, doesn’t do its homework, and truth is not part of their journalistic creed. The “Fifth Column of the 21st Century” is led by Barack Hussein Obama and you can’t get any higher than that when you want to infiltrate a government, so the fifth column is really out of the closet. What started this line of thinking on my part? We purchased a treatise called “The Book on Obama, His Friends, His Lies & His Plans” published by Grassfire Nation and written by Steve Elliott and John Aman. This little book is filled with what many of us already know, however, it is an encapsulation of much of the information and stories you have heard and read and it again opens your eyes to who Barack Hussein Obama is as a man. We can never know what is in a man’s heart, we only know a man by his actions. President George Washington said; “A slender acquaintance with the world must convince every man that actions, not words, are the true criterion of the attachment of friends; and that the most liberal professions of goodwill are very far from being the surest marks of it.”
My future blogs will discuss the actions of Barack Hussein Obama and his most liberal professions of goodwill. In the meantime, let me know what you believe... Gerri Gibney
