Welcome to the Sons of Liberty webpage.  I decided after the debacle of the last general election in 2012 to put up this webpage in order to have a voice.  Like many of you I have felt completely helpless against what unfortunately has happened - the second term election of Barack Hussein Obama, and what I believe to be the consequences of this election

The purpose of this webpage is myriad.  One of the most important reasons is for me to be able to write about what is going on in our country and to speak with likeminded Americans who want to be heard and also to know the comfort that there are people out there who think similar to you.  My first article for this page is "Thoughts on the Presidential Election of 2012."  I wrote this piece in November 2012 right after the election and as you will read, I have serious concerns about our future.  In the comings days, I'll write on political issues as well as morality issues, since they are truly linked.

President George Washingon said in his 1796 Farewell address:  "Of all the dispositions and habits, which lead to political prosperity, Religion and Morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of Patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of Men and Citizens. The mere Politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them. A volume could not trace all their connexions with private and public felicity. Let it simply be asked, Where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths, which are the instruments of investigation in Courts of Justice? And let us with caution indulge the supposition, that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect, that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle. It is substantially true, that virtue or morality is a necessary spring of popular government. The rule, indeed, extends with more or less force to every species of free government. Who, that is a sincere friend to it, can look with indifference upon attempts to shake the foundation of the fabric?"

So here, forthwith, is my commentary in the blog to the right.  Let me know what you think.

Here are direct quotes from Hillary Clinton as she tried to wiggle out of her remarks about the “Basket of Deplorables:”

“Last night I was ‘grossly generalistic,’ and that’s never a good idea.  I regret saying ‘half – that was wrong.”

“I also meant what I said last night about empathy, and the very real challenges we face as a country where so many people have been left out and left behind. As I said, many of Trump’s supporters are hard-working Americans who just don’t feel like the economy or our political system are working for them.”

Again, this is an apology???

What does “grossly generalistic” mean anyway?  She keeps using it, but it is not in the dictionary.  Maybe we should submit it to Webster’s as a new word which means:  “How to lose an election.”

And, when you read her original remarks, she never said anything about  “… many of Trump’s supporters are hard-working Americans…”

If she had said that would it make any difference?  Don’t think so.

Hillary you’ve shown everyone in America who you really are; an elite, brash snob, who thinks she can do anything she wants without fear of the law or justice.  You lie, cheat, are unethical, and most of all have no empathy or understanding of the American people, or why America is great, and why Mr. Trump will make it great, again.

Think about it, all of Hillary’s speeches are carefully crafted.  Why would she and her staff put such outrageous thoughts into a speech?  Because she did not think the American people would possibly react to her using the phrase “Basket of Deplorables.”  And, that the American people would not realize that she and Obama have had eight years to enact his hope and change, and instead are a disaster.  She also thought “what does it matter…” when she insults and is contemptuous of more than half the population.

This is your Waterloo, Hillary.  Own it!

Hillary’s just created her very own “Carter Malaise” speech.  Carter blamed his own failures and shortcomings on the American people in a speech later to become known as the “Malaise Speech.”  And now, Hillary has slammed and slandered half of the American people because we won’t vote for her!

Here are her very own quotes:

On Friday Hillary said:  "To just be grossly generalistic, you can put half of Trump supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables.   Right?  Racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic, you name it."

And, on Thursday she said Trump's supporters were divided into "two big baskets:  what she called "the deplorables," in an interview with Channel 2 News Israel.  "There are what I call the deplorables -- the racists, you know, the haters, and the people who are drawn because they think somehow he's going to restore an America that no longer exists. So just eliminate them from your thinking, because we've always had an annoying prejudicial element within our politics."

Hillary then said some of these people were "irredeemable" and "not America.”

Sound familiar?  Remember Obama’s “guns and religion” and Romney’s “47% remark.”

Here’s more:  "That other basket of people are people who feel that government has let them down, the economy has let them down, nobody cares about them, nobody worries about what happens to their lives and their futures. They are just desperate for change. Doesn't really even matter where it comes from."

Hillary continued, "They won't wake up and see their jobs disappear, lose a kid to heroin, feel like they're in a dead end. Those are people who we have to understand and empathize with as well."

Can you imagine?  For the last eight years Obama and Hillary have had the leadership of America in their hands, and they, like Carter, have failed.  And, now she is going to empathize with us and understand us?   Will emphasizing and understanding bring back a job?  Will it bring back a kid lost to heroine?  Will there be light at the end of the tunnel instead of a dead end?

How does she answer the people who feel government has let them down, the economy has let them down, nobody cares about them, nobody worries about their futures.  Those who are just desperate for change.  What’s her answer?  By calling us “BASKET OF DEPLORABLES.”  That we are “IRREDEEMABLE” and “NOT AMERICA.”

Well, Mrs. Clinton, don’t worry yourself about any of these questions.  Don’t trouble yourself about we the “BASKET OF DEPLORABLES.”

You are not going to be president, because you hold the American people in contempt.  The American people, unlike what you believe, are fair, just, and want what is right for all Americans, not just a chosen few.

The Revolution Has Begun!

Is the Republican Party falling apart, exploding, imploding, crashing?  Or is it a very small, minute, tiny segment of the Republican elite who are watching their Republican world falling apart, exploding, imploding and crashing before their very eyes.  Their insular Republicanism is going the way of the buggy, and they really, really don’t like it.

Curious isn’t it, the very people who wanted unity at the end of the primary season are now running away from Donald Trump, the choice of the people.  You’ve read the statistics; Mr. Trump has blown away all the numbers during the primary season.  More people have come out for him to pull the lever because they know, instinctively, this is the right guy.

Why is that?  He has answered the earnest call of the very people who put all these half-hearted Republicans into the House and Senate to stop Obama.  They wanted representatives of change, of courage, of clear-minded common sense to get rid of Obama Care, build the wall, stop spending, fix the Veterans’ Administration, build up our military and support them, get government off our backs by eliminating the crushing burden of laws and regulations that stymie free enterprise, and to make a level playing field on the world stage in commerce.  What happened after we elected a MAJORITY in the House and Senate?  Simple answer:  NOTHING!  And now, these very people who campaigned on all of this and promised their best effort rolled over and let Obama have his way.  Paul Ryan went so far as to eagerly pass the last budget which would fund exactly what Obama wanted.  So much for the loyal opposition.  And now Mr. Ryan does not want to support the presumptive Republican standard bearer?  I believe the Freedom Caucus should be revived and ask for his immediate resignation.  He is not worthy of the office.

As far as the former Bush presidents they are a complete mystery.  For all the years of the Obama administration and his taking down America, they were SILENT.  They never said a word as Obama drove our beloved country deeper into debt, promoted racism, gutted and eviscerated our military, practiced crony capitalism, with his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, made the Middle East into a tinder box that could explode at any time, created thousands of Syrian refugees, allowed ISIS and all the Muslim fanatics free reign as they spread fear, mayhem, and killing around the globe, as Obama made us the paper tiger, laughing-stock of the entire world.   Not only does the world mistrust us, they no longer respect us.  And where was the Bush family?  But, they are more than willing to say they will not support the nominee of the Party?

Mitt Romney is one more silent elite who does not want to lose his power and standing.  As far as I am concerned, he already has.

What basis do all these so-called leaders give for not supporting Trump?  Frankly, I don’t care.  The very fact they won’t shows me they are afraid of losing their standing, however, Donald Trump is fearless and doesn’t care either.  He cares what America needs, not what this small minority of people crave, their power and the status quo.  What elites don’t understand is for all the years the people worked and voted for them to give them their power, and were left empty-handed, now the REVOLUTION is in full swing, for the people are tired of unkept promises.  Time for action, time to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

My eyes have been opened since Donald Trump has thrown his hat into the ring of politics.  First let me say, I am an unabashed lover of Donald Trump with all his warts and craziness.  I, like so many others, have discovered there is an underlying truth to much of what he says.  We instinctively know there is something very wrong with our government, and he has put his finger on it, even if he is not articulating it as well as I might want him to do.  But, Mr. Trump has a plan, and I am confident the plan will work to bring him into the White House.

Power and money have driven our politics for a very long time.  I am no Pollyanna, I don’t believe this just started, I am well aware that it has always been, and always will be.  I also believe there are still some Patriots.  However, the level of corruption has grown to a point where a confirmed Socialist can become a part of the national discussion and is giving the Democrat front runner a good run for her money.  We have an avowed Marxist, who loathes America, as President for the last seven plus years.  Now, many Americans are so disgusted they want a longtime backbench Independent, who is a consummate politician, who has no achievements to his name, who rails against capitalism as their next President?  And, on the Republican side, two “outsiders” have risen to the top of the heap.  How can this be?  Very simple; Donald Trump has brought to the fore what is wrong with America, and how he is going to begin to mend her.  The politicians are scared to death.  Donald Trump knows where the money changers’ tables are and he is going to overturn them.  They are afraid.  By that I am speaking of both political parties and all the politicians who comprise them.

The will of the people is no longer the basis of our Republic, money is.

All Americans, for so long have been given the choice of one politician versus another politician.  Election after election we have been given what the “Establishment” wants to give us and we have accepted their choice.  We no longer think of a politician as a person who serves the people, the word “politician” is now a job description.

For your amusement, here are the dictionary definitions:

1.  Somebody active in politics (somebody who actively or professionally engages in politics)

2.  Government member (a member of a branch of government)

3.  Somebody seeking personal power (U.S. – somebody whose main political motive is self-advancement and whose methods are often unscrupulous)

4.  Schemer (somebody who manipulates relationships, especially in a workplace)

We are now content with a professional politician rather than a citizen politician.  We’ve allowed it, and for the first time in many years we have a choice between a patriot and a politician; a citizen versus a politician and all hell has broken loose.

The other so-called “outsider” in this race is Ted Cruz.  For all his talk about “Liberty and Freedom,” Senator Cruz is controlled by big money and their interests, and is no outsider.  Take a look at some of his donors:  Or take a look at the Goldman Sachs loan he conveniently forgot to list on his Senate campaign filings;  And, there is still no answer about the $500,000 transferred from Mr. Cruz’ PAC “Keep the Promise” to Carly Fiorinia’s PAC.  Why would one campaign give any money to another campaign?  I believe it is hush money.  He has shown in this campaign how easy it is for him to be swayed on a host of issues.  He might be a Constitutionalist, but only when it works for him.   Take when he accused Mr. Trump of being the inciter in the Chicago disturbances; Senator Cruz had no problem depriving Mr. Trump of his right to free speech.

A word of caution to Mr. Trump; government is not the answer to all of our social problems.  Less government, less taxes, and no social engineering are the answers.  Mr. Trump is on the right track when he speaks about giving the power back to the states in a variety of circumstances.  He should keep on that track.  As the leader of the REVOLUTION he should be speaking of the lofty ideals and ideas of our founders, and that he is not a career politician but is the Patriot to “Make America Great Again.”  We are great, we’ve just gotten off the track, and he needs to remind us of that.

Donald Trump calls what he has started a “movement,” I think it is the beginning of a REVOLUTION.  We are witnessing a battle for the very soul and ideal of America and it is starting with Patriot Donald Trump, for whether he knows it or not, he is awakening the American people to look at what has happened and what has gone wrong with the two political parties in America.  They no longer desire what is best for America, but what is best for them.

Donald Trump will make America great again!

"Donald, the Clown?"

by Gerri Gibney on 07/22/15

Donald, the Clown?

“Many of us have been looking for a leader; someone who is plain talking, who can explain and appreciate the capitalist system, whose love of America is unquestionable, who wants to control the borders, who wants to defend the country, who wants to support the military, who believes in the promise of America, who wants to stop the waste of our tax dollars, who believes America is number one in the world, and is the best.  Does Donald Trump fit this description?

What about the others in the primary race?  Most of them also fit the description, give or take a few points, but, are they getting the attention of the nation?  With all of Mr. Trump’s remarks, people are still listening and supporting him, and, best of all, the media is listening and more importantly reporting on his comments.  We’re going to need someone who gets coverage as soon as they open their mouth, and Donald Trump does just that.

Some say, have we stooped so low that we need to support this “clown” in order to win?  Is Donald Trump a clown, or a very smart businessman who knows that without the attention of America we are not going to win against Hillary.  Donald Trump won’t care if the Clinton machine calls him a clown, racist, money grubbing capitalist, big mouth, hater of women, or a buffoon.  It will just be more fodder for him to turn the tables on her, and remind the public of who she really is.

Can you imagine his retort to Hillary if she accuses him of being a money grubber, or a wealthy, greedy capitalist?  What will her answer be to the Clinton Foundation and its antics?  Or, if the question of his foreign policy experience comes up?  What will she say about the Benghazi debacle, or better yet, what will Trump say about her performance in this disgraceful and tragic piece of our history?  Think of the questions that will be thrown at Trump and how he will not be afraid of exposing her and her lack of performance as Secretary of State.

There are quite a few primary candidates who are effective leaders.  The question is, can they win against Hillary?  Can they articulate their answers to the important issues we are faced with so that the American public can understand and VOTE for the one who will ultimately be the standard bearer?  For me, right now, I don’t know.  I do know we cannot have another eight years of the left’s rule.  It is as simple as that.  We need a winner.

Donald Trump is shaking up the norm.  Good for him.  We wanted something different, and we got it!  PC is taking a pounding, and I love it!

After almost seven years of Barack Hussein Obama and his plan to transform America into a Communist state, we need someone who is a take charge, plain talking American who will “Make America Great Again!”
